Advance Opportunities is committed to serving adults with developmental disabilities by providing a wide range of employment opportunities that are geared to enchance individuals’ personal vocational abilities, increase community involvement and empower individuals to strive to reach their personal employment goals and dreams.
We offer both in-house and community work opportunities. Our professional and committed job coaches provide employment support to meet the needs of all individuals served.

Admission Policies and Procedures:
Eligibility Requirements:
18 year of age or older
Primary Diagnosis of Mental Retardation or a related condition
Please contact Dawn Wambeke, Executive Director to discuss referral under the CADI Waiver
All individuals are generally referred by their county case manager. If you are a parent, guardian, self-advocate or case manager, please feel free to contact Dawn Wambeke at (507) 537-7018 or at dawn.wambeke@advanceopp.org regarding eligibility or to schedule a tour of our facility.
Work Opportunities:
In-house work opportunities Include, but are not limited to:
- Assembly
- Collating
- Shredding
- Aluminum Can Recycling
- Manufacturing Stepping Stones and Marshmallow Shooters.
- Car Wash
- Digital Imaging
Community work opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- Hotel, Office & New Construction Home/Business Cleaning
- Digital Imaging
- Lawn Care (Rake/Bag & Pick Up Sticks)
- Landfill
- Wear It's At
Transportation:
Transportation is provided from each client’s residence to work and home again. Our agency provides transportation in our agency vehicles as well as through contracts with Southwest Coaches & Western Community Action (Marshall Area Transit). Our job coaches provide support on the buses and vans at all times.
