The DAC

The Lyon County DAC building is located off Minnesota Highway 19 heading east of Marshall, Minnesota towards Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Our address is 1701 East College Drive. You will be able to see our sign across from the Chevrolet dealer on the left side of the highway heading east.

The Lyon County Developmental Achievement Center was established in 1963 with 3 clients and 2 staff in the town of Ghent, Minnesota. It later moved into the city of Marshall. It has gone through many evolutions since that time to the present. We moved to our current location from Holy Redeemer School sometime during 1988. The building that is occupied by the Lyon County DAC used to be the old Gibson (Pamida) building and then it was sold to Southwest Ford Automobile Sales.

The Lyon County Developmental Achievement Center is a non-profit organization providing vocational services within the Marshall, Minnesota and surrounding area. We are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services to serve 74 clients with the diagnosis of Mental Retardation or Other Related Conditions between the ages of 18 and older. We are open 248 (maximum) days per calendar year for service to our clients.
